Hi Guys, I just installed my TD today and i was wondering if anyone knew what the best preload setting for it is. I think it comes set at 14mm. Anyone?

I think your down to pretty much trial and error.

well I tightened the jam nut with the preload set at 14mm and my wheel hop is gone. The TD surprised the hell out of me.

And the smaller the setting the stiffer it gets. Mine is set at 12mm.

I have it set at 14mm. I will try it a little stiffer since i still get wheel hop

just don't go too stiff people have bent the mounting brackets before...

+1 That is why mine is set at 12. 11 is the stiffest you can go.

These are the 2 settings 95% I bet use...

I set mine to 12mm. 10mm is the minimum and 15 mm the maximum. I have reduced a lot of wheel hop but it has increased vibration from the engine inside the car. Not a problem though. You can feel that the car is tighter. :)

the factory preload almost did nothing for me

actually the Ingalls didn't do much for me period... tight or loose... I'd much rather live with the solid mounts.
