I was told that we need to change our supercharger oil especially if we started modding. he told me to use redline motorcycle transmission oil but i cant get a hold of him to see what weight oil. anybody change the oil? by the way he has an 11 second cobalt ss.

dont know anything about the motorcycle oil... but if you go the a gm dealership, tehy sell "supercharger oil" for 5 bucks a bottle...you only need one...

If you go to intense-racing.com they have the exact same oil GM uses only it's sold under their name. They get it from the vendor GM uses too. It costs a little over 6 bucks from them and they give you a larger bottle. One bottle fills the S/C. According to GM the gen V M62 is supposed to be "lubed for life" but with extra boost I'm not so sure.

sealed for life but it doesnt hurt to change it.

The supercharger is full at 6 ounces but if you siphon it out of the drain plug you will only get 3. So only put that much back in.
