Just out of pure morbid curiosity, has anyone ever measured the ride height of an SS vs. a non S/C SS/Sport vs. a base model? I know what the lowering spring companies say and I still get nothing clear about the Cobalts with the FE3 suspension. The SS has the FE5 and all it's parts are different than the FE1 or the FE3 and the the 3 has all different parts than the 1. I can't seem to get a clear answer from anyone and I don't want to plunk down 200 bucks for drop springs that won't do anything. I need to find an SS and measure it is what I need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the FE3 uses the same springs as the FE1, the only "upgrade" to the FE3 is the larger sway bar...
I would say you will get the most benifit from lowering springs, due to the fact you most likely have the base model springs....
I could be wrong....
However IF you did have the "SS" springs, the Eibach Sportlines will still drop another 1+ inches....

I thought the same thing so I checked. I work for Saturn so I can look up chevy parts. Every suspension component is different between FE1, 3 and 5. They each have their own springs, struts, shocks, sway bars and control arms. The FE3 and 5 both have aluminum arms with the same bushings, but the arms have different part numbers. The only thing that's the same is the sway bar links. I'd get the sportline Eibachs but every review I've read says they ride like sh*t and I don't want that. I'll give the pro kit a go. It should work.
