Wow, I figured the RSX would have done a LOT better than that with those mods (driver error what!?!?!) Unless the RSX's lack of boosted torque is sufficient enough to affect him that bad in a race (which I doubt), I dont know, with all that stuff he prolly shoulda raped the SS. It looked like the dig races were back and forth, and it seemed that the SS owned the roll on races...

Figured the Cavy would lose, although not that bad. His hp with the GM s/c kit and all his mods should be well over 200hp (No clue how much actually gets too the wheels though) All in all I was impressed by the SS! :D But my fav part was when the Camaro came ballin up and had to hit his brakes.... TWICE before they ever hit theirs! LOL I love Camaros! :D I wouldnt even be in the market for a Cobalt SS if they still made Camaros! :(

nice vids. the rsx beat the SS twice from a dig and lost once (bad). he had a poor launch the second run from a dig, but that's his own fault so a win for the SS. all runs from a roll where too much for the rsx. the '05's come w/ a lot better top end speed so that might be a good run w/ all those mods. nice to see a N/A w/ basic bolt ons and ecu reflash vehicle win 2 out 3 races from a dig w/ a F/I stock car. :)

Funny thing is thats what i thought so i raced a kid which funny enough his car looks exsactly like yours and has the same mods but he has a K-pro instead of a hondata and no torque dampener so he can't launch that high and its the same as the blue rsx except from a roll theres none of that me pulling away stuff he starts there with me and stays the whole time then spanks me in the 120's

not to mention the kid was bragging on how much he dumped into his car for a jdm conversion i just told him to shut his mouth and line it up!

look closer and you'll see the rsx got the ss on launch.. both times. that has more to do with the driver than the car itself. launch is nearly 100% driver, once going it's nearly 100% car except for shifting

I say create a "VS. Section" now so that the future ignorance stays in that section and does not spread throughout the forum.

ill give ya that im just saying the car vs car the cobalt is most def dominent. unfortunately when you have a really good driver and a not soo good driver in a race with cars that are decently matched usually the better driver will get the hit and come out on top so i retract that statement i said bout the guy in the rsx sucking balls. i was comparing that guy to me instead of who he was racing!

Yeah out of all the guys there they've all been driving manual for 4 years plus, me I'm on my third week I picked the car up off the truck on june 17th and drove stick for the first time right there.My launches are horrible but you can see in the last race with the rsx when we both get decent launches the cars are similar but still he's launching at 5000 rpms cause of that torque brace and im crippled to a 1900 rpm launch.
Also i say you better create a vs section too or you'll see how fast trash post will find there way into regular post

What did the RSX have done to it again? The Cobalt SS statistically runs a faster 1/4 mile than the RSX Type S. But if had significant work done to it I could see it winning any of the races.

Nice race's and i can see the SS is not getting it's a$$ kicked to bad. From the roll the SS faired much better than from a dead stop.

The Cavy did good but the SS still beat it.

don't worry guys where working on much better vids as we speak the only thing where waiting on is the weather to change so we can go and record you'll get to see the WRX (which looks hot IMO) and the camaro race too.

From what I can see, the 1 race the SS won from the dig, he won pretty handley. On the 2 the Type-S won, if you pay attention to the light reflecting from streets off of the headlights, you will see the Type-S not really pulling away and maybe the SS is gaining a little. With maybe a torque brace so you can put the power down better, the SS should take it out of the hole and beyond. A 5000 rpm dump for the RSX? He must not like to keep much life on his clutchs? If I were to ever do that in my SS, brace or not, I would stand still for quit a while!!

nope I didn't think i needed one but before i got the car I didn't read anything about the wheel hop or how bad it was. Also i was Accelerating through a nice turn and all in a sudden you hear one of my front tires just light up and start peeling out im guessing the LSD would take care of that too?

Ha ha hardly..... He was holding back alot id say about 20 percent you can see in the new vids i posted he's no joke. and still he was holding back me and the srt from the vid was racing again and the wrx from a roll i might add had to brake not to pass us and the srt was running race gas so you would think at least from a roll he would have it on lock. Nah that wrx is fast for the mods he has. so just imagine from a dig.
