Hey all

I'm new here. Just bought a 08 SS TC. Thought i would introduce myself. It's black with 48,000 miles, got it for 13,699 from a local dealer in Wisconsin. Hopefully i got a pretty good deal on it. It has LSD, Sunroof, 6 disc changer, and the high rise spoiler :(

Hey guys im doing a little research for my friend and he has an 06 2.2 ecotec that is completely stock engine wise. He wants to do an exhaust and he thinks side exits are pretty sweet so thats what he's looking at, except on a budget. Hah what his plan is would be to just cut the exhaust and weld on a tip and that would be it so all of the pipes would be the same except it would be a little shorter and no muffler. I'm not sure if he should do it so i figured asking other people who have them would be the best idea. Sooo what do yall think? What direction should he go in? Thanks for the help in advance

not sure what my problem is but maybe u guys can help. i was sitting idleing for about 5 min when all of a sudden i started pouring blue smoke out of my exhaust. i was in a shitty neighborhood so i couldnt just turn the car off and look so i drove away and as soon as i got around the block there was no smoke at all. got to a friends house and checked the oil right away. level was good color was good. slight oder of gas but im told thats normal. this happened a couple of months ago and hasn't happened again. boost steady around 18psi spikes 21. engine still makes power only noticable problem is i cut out up top. plugs r good not fowled im thinking my tune is not to good. its dry around the turbo, no leaking oil so wtf happened. i do have a compressor surge issue but i havent drove the car hard at all since i started getting the surge. i try not to drive the car at all but i somtimes i have no choice. hopefully someone can tell me whats goin on.

National Domestic Import Motorsports Association is proud to release our 2012 series class breakdown and rules. These classes and rules are the culmination of a panel of seasoned racers ranging from grassroots to professional brought together to design an event focusing on the interests of the racers. The end result is a set of rules and classes with a place for racers of all levels to find competitive matchups where mechanical prowess and driving ability will fuel their path to the winner's circle.

Outlaw [DOMESTIC] vs Extreme [IMPORT]: $4,000 Total Payout
This is where the fastest door slammers around come to do battle. This is where you'll find the big tire guys running bottom 7s and nearly 200mph thru the traps.

Radial [DOMESTIC] vs Modified [IMPORT] : $3,000 Total Payout
Another class the fastest of the fast call home, these dedicated racecars typically run deep in the 8s boasting some of the most well tuned cars in the series.

275x [DOMESTIC] vs Hot Rod [IMPORT] : $2,700 Total Payout
275x vs Hot Rod pits some of the biggest crowd favorites against each other consistently producing 8 second times. Always a crowd favorite and a hotly contended class as both the import and domestics sides have well developed programs filling this class.

Street Warrior [DOMESTIC] vs Street Warrior [IMPORT] : $1,600 Total Payout

Zzp long tube?

Hey guys I have an 05 cobalt ss, I have a zzp stage 3 kit, 2.8 inch pulley, 3inch catless dp and a 3 inch vibrant cat back, I'm looking to get a header but I read that a shorty header doesn't gain anything, now if I went with a zzp long tube would it bolt up to the 3inch vibrant?

New Member here. I traded off my 04 Redline for an 09 Cobalt SS/TC. Wasn't looking to trade but fell in love once I was suckered into a test drive. It's a huge difference going from a supercharger to turbo. This is my first turbo car. So I will sound like a newbie with this car. I don't know that much about this car in regards to what upgrades are done to it. I have some pictures I'm going to try and post. I can see some injen piping, but have no clue if the blowoff or turbo has been upgraded. Is there quick ways/tips on how to figure out what has been done to this car?

What is a good order on modding this car?

Any quick bolt-ons that should be done?
