Question Keyless Remote Programming

Just bought a used 2006 Cobalt SS for my daughter. It was a repo and didn't have a key fob with it. Purchased two off ebay. Do I need to take them to a GM dealer to get programmed or is there a way I can do this myself? Other daughter bought a 2002 GMC Envoy last year and we were able to program new fobs bought same way.

Gotta have a dealer do it. You need the Tech 2.

most of the trucks can be done by yourself, but the cars have to be programmed. sorry man. dealer will prob charge half hour labor. $30-$40.
