Instrument Panel Short?

Hey everybody!

I've been searching the site here for a while for any issues similar to mine.

I've got an 05 Cobalt that the instrument panel and radio have been losing power. The entire panel will go dark and the needles will drop while diving and then come back on. While the panel is dead the blinkers will still work ( I can see reflections in other cars), but the sound and display get nothing.

I've already had to have the radio replaced because the display stopped displaying english, but I don't think this is stricktl related to the radio.

Does anybody have an idea of where to look for a possible short or bad connection that would cause this.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
