Crap service, or bad timing?

I had an engine light on for 4 secs. Contaced onStar and they let me know i had misfires. I then contacted the closest dealership, Superior Chevrolet in Lawrenceville, NJ on Route 1. They told me to bring it in the next day at 2:30. So I did. I get there, talk to the lady at the desk and she says, "Well, I don't have anyone here available for warranty repairs, only oil changes." I was kind of disappointed, but I can see how a message wasn't relayed. then she tells me to bring it in tomorrow so they can check it out. I had a problem with this since it's my only way from point a to b. I wasn't going to take off of work. So I ask her about Saturday, and she said "Oh, well, we don't have anybody here who can do those kinds of repairs or work on weekends, just oil changes." As this fun conversation is going on, two techs are just sitting around staring at the ceiling. I lied and said I'd bring it in the next day. Instead, I went to Reedman Chevrolet in Langhorne and told them what's wrong with the car according to OnStar. Less than an hour later, they let me know everything is fine it just had 30 misfires and to just keep an eye on it. If this seems like a ramble complaint, sorry, but I just can't see how a much busier service center was able to help me in no time with no previous knowledge, while an empty service center was dumbfounded on how to just check out why an engine light was on for a blip of a moment.

had the same thing happen, i cold started the car and started driving the shit out of it (I know bad Idea and I was pissed, didnt help any) car miss fired and threw a code, I called the dealership and it was a saturday and the woman didnt know if she had anyone on staff that could diagnose the problem, so i left my name and waited for a call back, the miss fire only happened for a second then the car ran fine but the code was still there, after an hour and no call back i went to auto zone and they put it on their machine, and told me miss fire blah blah blah, so i disconnected the battery and that reset the computer and the code went away, again the car ran perfectly after that, and finally the dealership calls back and some tech (sounded like a good ole boy) told me all he did was oil changes and that none of the Chevrolet dealerships service departments in austin where open on the weekend besides the one I had called and they where only equipped for oil changes

i was like WTC???
you spend all that money on a car and now you are going to be inconvenienced when you have to bring it in for warranty work because they arent open for that on the weekend
