door handle stuck

hey guys im new to the site had my cobalt about 3 weeks got a used 06 ss/sc 35000k. im have problems with my door handle it feels like the something inside the door is gettin stuck the door wont close and sometimes it happens when its closed and the door wont open, i pull on the handle its like theres no resistance on it. i have to play with the locks and shake the door till somethin pops inside and it starts working again. anybody had this problem or know what it is. sucks having a new car (new to me) and having to climb in and out of the passenger seat.

I know the post is pretty old but this happened to me a couple of weeks ago. The door locks and unlocks but when you pull on the handle the door won't open. I found the problem to be a linkage was sticking. It is the linkage at the end of the cable that goes from the inside door handle to the latch actuator. The linkage needs to be oiled or greased. The linkage is outside the acuator. Unfortunately, you can't get to it till the linkage becomes unstuck and you can open the door to take off the door panel. It may take a few days for the latch to unstick. Pulling hard on the inside door handle will only make it stick worse. Once it unsticks, and you take the door panel off, you can oil the linkage (you'll need a long straw on the end of the oil - like on a can of wd40 - and a small mirror or you can take out the actuator like I did).

If it still doesn't work with doing that, just open it manually. Stick the key in and unlock the door that way.?

Any questions about the Balt, all answered here:
