p0300 code

Hi all,
I am having a problem with my 09 ss throwing out a p0300 code. The vehicle is stock except for a Hahn intake tube with a K&n cone filter in place of the stock airbox. The car has been to the dealer for a recall relating to the tube from the inter-cooler to the turbo. The p0300 code is as you probably know is a random misfire.Having looked up on the web for a possible cause, the general opinion seems to be a vacuum leak to the intake manifold. So I was wondering if any of you out there has had a similar problem and maybe give me a clue where to start. I do realize that it is in need of a tune (I do have E.F.I.LIVE software on my laptop), but was told with this minimal upgrade I should not experiance any code problems. Any info would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for reading

So Bob, one question:

Does this code come on following a misfire that you can feel in the thr***le. Or more simply put, can you 'feel' the vehicle hesitate or stall during a misfire, then the code comes on??

Only reason for asking is because my '07 SS/SC throws a misfire code from time to time as well. Nothing is wrong with my car at all, no hesitation from upon acceleration but if I do drive it for a long period and stop at a drive through of any sort and kick the revs up before moving forward, my Check Engine Light comes on and that same code reads on my scanner. I just clear it and it doesn't come back on until I am stuck in the same situation.

May just be how the ECU is programmed but I didn't know that the Turbo version of the Cobalts experienced the same problem.

I never feel any kind of hesitation or misfire, in fact, the car runs flawlessly. I should have stated that this is my daughters car and that she will be moving a couple of hours away so for me to clear the code easily will be a little awkward. I wonder if any of the tuning wizards out there could suggest a way to circumnavigate this little problem. I am also a little concerned that if she takes the car to a shop they will try to tell her that there is something seriously amiss and could cost her money that need not be spent. Maybe I'm just being a little paranoid
thanks for the reply,
Bob
