Seat Belt Warning Light/Chime Cobalt SS 2.4

On my wifes Cobalt SS 2.4, when not buckled up the seat belt light and chime will shut off after a few minutes and then it comes back on after a few more minutes. This cycle will continue until you buckle up. According to the manual this is normal. My SS SC does not keep repeating, it will only warn you once and then not come back on.

Any others have this with the 2.4 SS ?

ThanX

This was posted a while back, but I'll still respond. I don't know if she has the auto, but I've got the stick and mine turns on then stays off. I'm pretty sure that with an automatic if she puts it in park or opens the door the warning should be replayed. Seems like it could lead to other problems though. I'd get it checked.

Not to be smart, guys, but just put it on. If you think your light/chime is faulty, by all means have it checked. I have the SS 2.4 stick, mine will chime and got out, and then maybe it will do it once more in a few minutes. I know this because my son takes forever to put on the seatbelt, so the warning always comes on when he's in the passenger's seat. Oh and my husband won't put it on at all. But we only went like a block, so I don't know if it'll keep going or not.
