stalling problem

i've got a 2006 LS cobalt. my problem is that when im letting the clutch almost all the way out and giving it some gas the engine turns off. well more like coming to a brupt sudden stop. when i start out in first gear and take off and when shifting into second gear it dose and then when starting in first going to second and then to third it dose it to. it don't do it all the time just when it wants to. it never just dose it once, when it dose do it it'll happen 2 or more times in a row then stop completely. i know i'm not doing anything wrong. i've been driving a manual trany for almost 3 years. i've brought it into the dealer 2 time and they look at me like i crazy and ask me if i want driving lessions on how to drive a manual. its done it to other people in my house hold so i know its not me. can anyone think of what the problem might be? someone PLEASE help

Your LS must be similar to the gearing of my SS, I know they are not the same of course, but 1st gear is a tall gear anyways. When I shift into second, I have to let the rpms drop about 1500, or it will jerk when I let the clutch out. But, when I'm driving around town, I dont like to wind out the rpms. So, my suggestion is you may have to let the rpms build just a little higher from first to second. Just take this as constructive critisizm. good luck!

you know, i have the same thing going on too--at first i thought it was me, but it's the car most definitely. my acura never ever did that. I think it has something to do with a low idle setting in the ECU, and it gets WAY worse when the AC is on. I would do a google search to see if there are any TSB's for it. Perhaps your dealer can also do a search, I'm sure it can be corrected. Lately mine's not wanting to start very well either, I'm assuming it hates the cold. :P Best advice I have right now is to bump the RPM's up just a tad before you leave the intersection
