crank positioning sensor

anyone ever heard about this my car will ocasionally stall out and then take like 5mins to start back up and then be fine anyone ever experianced this problem before. i had a diag ran on it and they said it was a "crank positioning sensor" anyone know how much this is gonna run me or if i can do it myself appreciale the help..

You could do it yourself. but is your car not under warranty anymore?

Yeah that happened to me too... I down shifted to fast and it did the same thing... But the dealership fixed cause of the warranty..

DTC for crankshaft position sensor is P0335

PN sensor CkShft 2.0: 12789959
PN Sensor CkShft 2.2 2.4: 12588992

According to the factory service manual you have to remove the starter to change it. One member attempted to replace it without taking off the starter -- he was able to remove it but couldn't get the new one back in without taking off the starter. I haven't had the "pleasure" yet of changing one myself (fingers crossed lol)
