My cobalt runs anywhere from 188 to 212, seems like the fan kicks in around 190 however at crushing speeds 55mph and above with no stops and in overdrive it runs about 190 degrees to 196 degrees consistently.

yea i was getting out of my car a few days ago and my fan was still on. my temp was 210, so i was drinving around and came to a stop light and it went to 216 but not any higher. so iam guessing from 200 to 216 for my car.

Wow, you guys temps are all high....If i'm driving it fast or slow it NEVER gets above 190. I have to be in HEAVY traffic for it to get over 200.

Mine is usually around 170-188, depending on outside temp and driving... But 200 ish or 220!!!!. That is a really high temp for your coolant. I think boiling temp for our coolant is around 225-230.....isn't it??

Also, my low coolant light comes on when I start my car. But after twenty or thirty seconds it goes away... Is this normal? Or is my coolant low?

sounds like you are a hair low, the coolant sensor is in the overflow tank I believe, I would add alittle bit of coolant there, there should be a line indicator on the plastic housing...
