Radio Installation Problems (PLEASE HELP)

So I have recently tried to put a JVC radio into my 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LT Coupe. We bought the harness and adapters and plugged everything in right, I think. When we went to turn on the new radio, no sound will come out of the speakers. But sound will come out of the subwoofers we put in, what did I do wrong?? :con fused:

the adapter i got came with rca plugins or cables, we just used the RCAS and capped the wires off. every colored wire is matching fine. What blue wire are you talking about???
shouldnt stripes go to stripes to match??

Found out today what was wrong. When i got the adapter kit, they sold me the one for the upgraded system. So the adapters pins were wrong. Never going to bestbuy for anything stereo related again.

Nope. Gave up today. 7 Days of working on it, no one could figure out whats wrong. We cut the factory wiring and the adapter wiring, hard wired everything correctly, still nothing. BUT of course the fucking standard radio works. Fuck GM and their shitty fucking cars, going back to Ford or Dodge next time.

GM cars aren't for noobs if you haven't noticed by now.

You have to know what your doing or else it doesn't work. Its not like Ford and Mopar where you can ghetto it the whole way and expect it to work. That is why they retain the resale better and last longer.

Any questions about the Balt, all answered here:
