aftermarket remote start

I have a 2005 chevy cobalt, that uses a standard cut key (No chip in it) to start the car, and I am looking to get a remote start installed on it. Since it doesn't need a key to start, do I even have to get the special bypass that is needed for the newer cobalts, or is there something else in the system that requires the bypass?

I spent $3 getting the key cut and it starts the car fine, so I am assuming I should just be able to install the remote start system and be done, without any special module to bypass or anything.
