Major Oil Leak**

Wuts up I just got a 2006 Cobalt ss turbo conversion and it smokes a lot of smoke out of the exhaust when I step on the throttle and when I come to a stop there is a bunch of smoke coming from the hood. I am also constantly refilling the oil levels because it is always low but there is no oil spots when parked so I dont know where its going. What could the issue be?

My best word of advice so that you do not blow your motor is STOP DRIVING IT!

Then, tow it to a repair shop and have them diagnose it. You will have to pay to get it fixed unless you know a thing or two about maintenance. But if you want to keep your motor salvageable, stop driving it and making things worse. Please no dead Balt.

Not enough info to give you a diagnostic and there are too many things that it could be.

Okay to add more information I can tell you that the exhaust has minor smoke after cold start-up. After driving for about five minutes and coming to a complete stop then letting out the clutch to drive again, the smoke increases out of the exhaust and begins coming out of the hood as well. Should I do a compression test, buy new turbo seals, or valve seals? Just a little fact the engine runs strong and the turbo pulls (from what I know) great.

Possible gasket but still pretty vague to give you any imput or advice. Take it to a shop to diagnose it. Only way you will know the true extent.

I dont know if this is what it is, but maybe a seal is broke on your turbo, and oil is leaking onto your exhaust, and maybe on the motor for all the smoke under the hook. I have know idea if this is what is wrong, but its something to look into.

did you just buy the car in this condition or did you install a turbo kit and this is the result?

I bought the car like this probly a dumb decision unless its not a major problem. Yeah I am going to bring it to a dude and get it checked out and get it tuned after I fix the leak. If i get a tune and then install another turbo or a diff part will I have to retune it?
