Looking into getting an SS. Questions

Hello. I want to get an easier on fuel, yet fun to drive vehicle. Looked into the 08+ Malibu LTZs but the Cobalt seems that it would look better, be more economical, and cost less. I currently drive a 2007 Ford F-150 Supercrew Lariat that I do not plan on getting rid of, I would like to keep it parked a little more often is all and get good economy with a smaller car.

How are these SS Cobalts for daily drivers?

Are they reliable?

Is the steering and clutch a weak spot in these cars?

They look good thats no doubt, but do they last well?

What are some differences between original model 05s - 07s and the newer model ones aside of supercharged/turbocharged?

What would some problematic areas be on these cars?

Compared to a basic 2.0L Cobalt, how would the Supercharged model be economically under normal driving use, equivalent? Or is the supercharged model still harder on fuel?

Hopefully there will be some responses, Thanks for reading my questions.

OK the 05-07 cobalt ss supercharged i think came with 205hp while the 08-10 turbocharged ss came stock with 260hp. Both are very good cars, but the way you make it sound your not going to be doing to much to it to increase the HP? Both motors are built very very well. I have around 350hp turbo ss and i still get 30mpg i have no idea what the supercharged ones get.

I was beat by RKRamos.

I get 30mpgs+ off boost. If I get on it and street drive, I average 25mpgs. Not bad for a slopoke....

No I kind of don't plan to modify it much at all, but that isn't guaranteed. I do have a modification bug. I am just more into trucks than I am cars. A red of black SS can look real nice with very few mods, and possibly pretty quick with a few enhancements, but I do want one for a fun daily driver.
