Just for future reference

Evryone I know is confused. Is the Cobalt ECOTEC motor pronounced like eco in ecosystem or like echo?

i'm pretty sure it's like eco in ecosystem. but anyone feel free to corrct me if i'm worng.

hmmmm never thought about it like echotec, but i sorta like it like that
its got a little ring to it......
but ive alwyas said it EEEcotec

I've heard it both ways and said it both ways no other engine someone can confuse it with if you said it echo vs eco

echo reminds me of that hideous car Toyota made. It is pronounced ECO as in ecosystem.

I've always thought the marketspeak behind the name was trying to imply an environmently friendly engine - therefore the 'ecosystem' part of the name

Definitely true. It's a tree-hugger friendly engine, therefore it's pronounced "EE-ko-tek"
