Exclamation Do not use these type air fresheners!!!

Hey guys, I just got a rude awakening today. I had one of those glade car freshener type things in my car, above the radio in an air vent, and the SOB leaked and spurted shit on my silver trim pieces. (Dammit) Needless to say, it took the paint slam off, so now im stuck with trim pieces that look like a dalmation. I know there are some threads on here with pics where people have painted their trim, and if anyone can help me find it, please insert a hyperlink in your reply. Thanks a lot guys!

Well, sometimes you have to roll with the punches, and I dont feel as bad now because I have learned that my dads 2001 Monte Carlo did the same with one of those things. So, now it gives me an excuse to paint my trim to match my car! Or, I can get it airbrushed with realistic flames! Im feeling better right about now!

anything will take off the nickel paint on the trim, the dealer may replace them under factory, bumper to bumper warranty, ( p.s. they did it for me when my door trims got all scratched up )

I kinda figured that, and hopefully if they take them off, they wont throw the damged ones away. I'm planning on getting them airbrushed with realistic flames or something of the sort!

Its as if the paint is just "static clung" to the plastic. Heck, you can almost sneeze on it and make it fall off!

lol, i bet if you took it off and stuck it out the window for a second it would be black when put back

the lightning ones looks very cool but failed to show with red ones, do they have red lightning, and is it the static cling for them too
