Private resale value

modding doesnt = higher resale value!

If TwinCharged sold his Redline for 18,500. then obviously modding= depreciation. When you mod your vehicle you are adding your personal touch. Any time you personalize something it is devalued.

I would obviously, have to disagree with you. If you look on car forums, like vadriven.com and forums that alway the sale of vehicles, you'll see it's common practice to ask a little more. When Civic owners do a motor swap they ask more for the car... when it versus a car that is modded or a stock car exactly the same. I would pay less for the stock car and pay more for a modded car, for the simple fact of it's something less I have to do. It's less parts I have to purchase seperately. But that's just my opinion! Thanks for deleting your posts on my sale thread!

once cars hit a certain age they pretty much bottem themselves out on the price and it holds in that price range for a while. hence you have your older civics and other cars when you get into your motor swaps and other performance mods they do little for the private party value. A new car is the worst investment to make just driving off the lot it takes a dump of a couple thousand. Take Twincharged for example one of the huge contributors in pushing this platform. For how much he put into the car he took a huge loss selling it. He started off asking kbb value knowing modds do little for selling. The only investment that appreciates is realestate.

This is true but that does not mean you go into the thread causing problems and basing the car because they want a higher value for it than what it should go for so please don't hi-jack someone's thread and start something. Because to some people the car maybe worth that to them and they know that the car value is and also what all the mods cost and they could very well be getting a deal if they want all the mods that are on that car.

I would completely agree with that statement.
