outran by a diesel truck.. wtfbbq??!!

coming home today i was crusing about 70 as usual and this big ass 4wd truck comes out of nowhere and is on my ass... so i do the little.. pfft he thinks i'm a 100hp honda and he'll outrun me. so i shift to third and hammer down not even looking back, hit fourth about 110~ and this fucking truck flies by me like i'm sitting still i'm still trucking and get up to around 130 and the truck is probably 20 cars in front of me. this is my beater cobalt with the intense stage4, i/h/e on it too.

i've never seen anything like that in my life. and the truck wasn't lowered or anything it was a big ass smoke blowing 4wd diesel redneck truck. it was just crazy so i had to share

Wow!!!

yeah my dads old truck sounded like that what you described. he built it 350 v8 with a turbo and ran it on propane. and custom exhaust and this was 15 years ago. the thing would probly run 150 the way my dad built it. but that truck is long dead now. but yeah thats awsome but sucks for the little balt. id be pissed to.

ryman.

You shouldn't be surprised really.

One of the SRT4 guys that I hung out with in Chicago had traded in his skittle for a 4 door huge turbo diesel. It weighs like 8000lbs, lol but ran mid/low 14's being totally stock except for being quickly tuned with a MadDog (I believe it is called).

Thats why i asked if was newer or older, cause a friend's dad has a 2005 f-250 turbo disel and it is fast. (lets just say it was still pullin hard at 125mph) lol And my dads got i dodge ram rumble bee and it is fast too. (lets just say it dont hook intel about 60mph)lol and hes going to turbo it this summer!

I guess sometimes I still get a little surprised when I see those large trucks haul ass. Driving around today I came across a Lightning that just thought he was god's gift because he had a S/C, lol

Too bad he didn't have any traction!!!! Buwahahahahaha

Man some of the newer diesel trucks will haul ass, these guys pump them up just like we do our little cobalts, diesel performance is huge among the redneck community..lol!!! Power programmers, exhaust upgrades, intake kits, propane injection, bigger turbos, they yield some SERIOUS power and torque...crazy aint it!!!

I forgot exactly what show it was, but when the 2005 mustang came out, they had an 05 Ford F250 stock. First run= heads up, the mustang had it by a truck lengh. 2nd run (truck had only hyperpac tune) Truck had the mustang by 2 truck lenghts! Diesel has massive torque, and the fuel per voulme is 80% productive towards power, whereas gasoline is only like 40%-50%
