Warranty on Clutch

Are clutches covered under warranty? Mine is slipping at 8,000 miles. I do not race or beat on it. I've been driving standards for years. The only abuse it gets is about 20 minutes of stop and go traffic every day. This morning, pulling out in to traffic, I got on it pretty hard and the car did not move, just wound all the way up to 6000, clutch released completely. After narrowly avoiding death I let it cool for a minute then slowly started again. It got me to work but I still feel a little slippage. Thanks for any help.

My dealer treats it as a wear item, which they cover for 12 months or 12,000. I cannot answer for your specific dealership or others though.
I'd suggest you approach the service manager about it and see what they will do.

I dont think your going to have any luck with that. My dealer said everything is under warranty EXCEPT the clutch. Which, like stated above, is a wear and tear item.
