taking apart the headlights

alright. how everyone tears apart the headlights to paint the housing black and what not. how do you do that? i wanna paint the housing a metallic blue to match my car.
but how do you get the casing off the headlight o get into the housing?

put it in the oven so that the adhesive can melt, then you should be able to just pull it apart i believe.


take pic when youre done, i bet itll look good.

could i melt the adhesive with a hair dryer? and what would i use to glue it back together?

i had an LS and there were clips on the clear platic. so just pull them apart and there you go. iam not sure on what car you have.

iam not sure if you could just use alot of super glue. but i know if you wanted to redo the paint it would be a pain to get the cover back off

u could use a hair dryer it will take extremely long.

man LS can stand for anything, but i guess talking about cobalts it would only mean that you have an LS. lol o well. I have a LS now but iam talking to the dealership about getting an SS. They come down 700 bucks on the price and i will be a new SS owner.
