Performance Chip

Hey Everyone,
I got a 2005 Cobalt base 2dr and I recently bought a performance chip for it but I ran into a problem. The chip has two wires coming out of it and it is supposed to splice into my air intake temperature sensor which has 5 wires. If anyone could tell me which 2 of the 5 wires im supposed to slice into, that would be great! Thanks!

Lol, I agree, thats a waste of money.

All that is is a resistor that tells your PCM that the air coming in is colder than it really is. So the PCM will advance timing a little.

Sounds good, but your PCM will be all screwy and your O2s will be all out of whack. I tried it on my car, and used my scanner and MAF tuner, and couldn't get it nailed down.

Blower + Too much timing = pieces of piston

I don't think there's a blower involved (though you have a point) but it still sounds fishy. Anything 1) vastly cheaper than competitive products but claiming to be the same or 2) having very poor (by the sounds of it) instructions is just trouble... especially in the first few model years of the car. Extra especially if it's still in the first few model years and both of the above conditions are there too (which I'd guess is the case here)

Sorry dude, but I think you just picked up some snake oil. A reputable company would be on the phone with you figuring things out no problem.
