Thumbs up 87' 5.0 stang V.S SS/SC

me and a couple of friends decided to hit woodward a weekend before the cruise. i have always had something against stangs but i dont know why.(maybe its cause alot of em like to talk crap) but we came up next to a 5.0 and the guy noticed me. after that he started reving and what not, i though that the thing was gonna eat me. so the light hit green and we rip off the line. i wheel hopped through first and caught with a lil speed in second. at that time i noticed he was still at the light spinnin his tires. so that one ended with a win for me. we go for the loop and the guy jumps behind me and wanted to go from a roll. we hit a 30 roll and ripped it once again. and AGAIN i came out with a win. the next light he wanted to run one last time. i actually caught good trac. with out any wheel hop, and well, we know how this one ends to. it was great and made me feel like a million bucks for the rest of the night. my girl loved it just as much as i did.

That thing ran about a 14.5 new, bang on with corvettes... an 87 IROC was good for 15 flat

Good kill. lucky you ran onto a stock one with a crappy driver. I ran a 5.0 lx back in the 80's on front street in philly and could beat everything but the most serious race cars. I personally love Mustangs there cheap to make fast and have been bad ass sports cars sinse 1964. Gotta love american muscle!

Right. I guess the older the car the slower right?

Go race some 60's muscle, hen give me feedback.

Yes I know you didn't say the older the slower, but the moral is it doesn't matter how old the car is, stock or modded old cars can run.
