SS/SC vs VW GTI

i kno iv been posting alot of these lately but a GTI wanted to race me tonight. we went from about 65 mph, i think i got the jump on him but bye abuot 90mph he was starting to walk past me. i dont kno what year it was i think it was a new one but i cant be sure. i would have liked to keep going but i had some were to be.

rally yellow cobalt ss/sc
mods: injen cai, poly tranny mounts, vibrant performance header/dp w/ highflow cat, corsa sport exhaust, custom tune

Those things are tough to run even from a dig. I ran one once and got killed by him because of the driver mod screwing up. A week prior to that I ran one several times with the same results. Froma dig or a 5 roll we were always even until he had to shift out of third which gave me a slight lead everytime. I knew he was shifting becuase you could hear the bov.

are ya'll at high altitude or somethin?...

my buddy with a far less mod'd ss/sc then mine raced a GTi and was walking away from it...

I stright killed a silver one on m-24 the other night....

i dont get?...there rated around the same power as a stock ss/sc so.......

i walk them and i'm basically stock still. they're pigs, especially the new ones.

I also walk them from a roll or a dig. and i'm close to stock... both the 1.8t and the new gti with the 2.0t ...unless they're chipped.

i wish i could have kept going with him. i pulled about a car on him but by about 90mph he was coming up along side me and thats were i had to stop

My friend has a 2.0t fsi gti and I walk away like hes not even moving.

Also hes trading it in for a cobalt ss/sc !!!

At the track I ran a 14.7 at 96mph in the 1/4 with a cai and my room mate has a 2002 gti and he ran a 15.7 at like 85mph.

i had no problem taking an 06 gti from a stop and i raced him 3 timesa from a 30 roll.
