Irony? (For SRT-4 haters) New stock record.

I joined this forum a few weeks ago and got into the ol SRT-4 vs. Cobalt argument:

Plus what is there to compare the srt had a recall because they are built like garbage and the ss is a solid car.

Well, I now own the fastest STOCK SRT-4 in the country as of Saturday.

60ft- 2.10
1/8- 8.82
1/4- 13.631
1/4mph 101.77

temp was
45 degrees
54% hum
30.39 barometer

The car had STOCK tires. STOCK interior (NO WEIGHT REDUCTION). With a half a tank of 93 octane.

Here is video of the car running a 13.80. The camera women left before the 13.70 pass and the record pass. The pass is in the middle of the vid, sorry @ 9:28.

I will post up the scan of the timeslip as soon as I can find a scanner to read the writing on the slip (it's very light).
Again I'm not throwing this in the face of anyone. Just trying to help you guys know your competition.

Thats damn good, it had to be good with the temp that low. I bet the asphalt was kinda slick til some rubber was laid on it.

The majority of these cars stock is a low 14, with traps 98 - 100 mph...

Yours is a rather nice exception...

but as far as educating the competition on a stock SRT....

Its getting harder and harder to find one..... that is bone stock....

I disagree. Most SRT-4 owners are young and inexperienced. Look at the forums. It's not the car's fault the owner can't get it to it's full potential.

However yes the driver of this one can mash it

that's a great time for a stock SRT4, like you I had the "quickest Stock TBSS in the country" running a 13.4 @102 back in March.. but the DA' plays a part in that as well, you were in a mighty high -DA' day there...
I have a friend with a high HP SRT4 that could only manage 13.3's @115 and worse on the stock tires (ACR) but on a slick it went 12.0 (or 12.1), those cars don't hook for Sh*t.. I can run 12.6's all day long on the stock 20" wheels & Tires (heavy as hell) with 1.76-1.80 60's.. FWD SUCKS for all out racing..

sounds like your buddy needs the driver mod. these cars hook just fine on slicks.

i have over 400hp and do consistant 1.7 60' with a best of 1.693. i have a few buddies around here in the 500+, one or two flirting with 600hp and they can do 1.7's as well.

like i said, your buddy needs the driver mod. especially if he's "taken it that far" and can only pull a 12.0. that honestly sucks.
