LittleMT vs. TinyMT... W-body vs GTO..

Showdown at Area51 Raceway In Roswell New Mexico, home of the flying saucer crash from the late 1940's...

The players....

the W-Body, rear end squat upon launch, frontend lift:

the GTO, also squating on the green...

Me and the family drove some 250 miles to invade Roswell....
Played some on the streets out there on a Friday night...

We then on Saturday went to Area51 and had a family throwdown, I had 5 drivers using the 2 cars.....

Here is a Video of me vs. one of the boyz....
I didn't cut a decent life to save my life in the 1st 4 races I did... But I eventually would get my act together and clicked off some personal bests in the W-Body as the day wore on...

Anyways, it was a fun family outing, and the kids got to run, and we didn't have to worry about police...

The DA was 6500ft..... If it was at Sea Level, figure we would trap higher and run a quicker ET as the cars would be seeing more HP...

In my house, this is what a family does together...

The GTO sure got squirly....

Lost traction and was coming into my lane, corrected and then got sideways seeing the wall, corrected and gained control....

We all got lucky on that one....

The car needs seem sticky tires and some suspension..

A full setup called the Hardcore Strip package from Pedders is going on the car....

I am going to try and lay down some big big power in it... suspension is a must.

He...

No water, just as you say, get way out of the groove and the rear end wandered around.....

The 18's on the GTO didn't hook up for any of us....

Though I have read of several getting very decent 60fts with them on the GTO forums...

We were doing some 2.2's...... crappy.... a 2.0 would have netted the car a high 13....

We were also happy the GTO managed a 100mph trap...

Previous best was 98mph at a 7500ft DA... So we gained 2mph droping 1000ft in DA....

Very nice video! Wish they were all that clear and well shot. Does driving a Monte SS induce slow reaction times???
