^^that came out bad

but what i meant was, by comparison in the posts, almost everybody races on some highway in traffic cuz they randomly spotted some rsx with some 16 yr old eyeballing them, downshift, mash the gas, get to 120, shut down, look over and exit the freeway.......

i didn't realize this was most peoples vision of racing

Hell, I'm at the track a lot of times and I like racing from a dig, because I have a car that's hard to launch, so it's pretty challenging, but the thing is, the opportunity occurs much more to race from a roll.

If you don't think roll racing is a race, then the next time you are at Walmart and as you are "rolling" around looking for a parking spot and you finally find one, and then some other person spots the same spot, just watch and see the race that's about to happen. Now that's racing.

I have gotten my ass handed to me by a few awd and vice versa from digs. Also it may be that people prefer posting wins instead of losses and this is a predominantly fwd car forum.

..i call that "fucking around" not "drag racing"
Of course it isn't drag racing. No argument there. Drag racing is from a dig.

I can see this thread getting more stupid by the second. First and for most racing at a track will not get any innocent Families of four killed in their minivan and I highly doubt a police officer is going to pull you over and write you out a ticket for doing 120 MPH at the track. I'm sure everyone is guilty of playing on the highway once in a while but I'm also sure we can all agree that your asking for trouble racing on a public highway. As far as a roll being a real race. It's a race to prove my car is faster than yours not that I'm a better driver than you. There really is no skill involved other than shifting gears. And if you drive an automatic, you don't even have to worry about missing a gear. I just dont feel the need to show ever 18 year old that my car is faster than theirs. Most of the time it's just some kid in a 14 or 15 second car anyway.

Well everytime I agree to a race I always ask if they want to go from a dig, Even mustang owners wont race me from a dig, they always say 40 roll and as you all know you couldnt ask for a better pulling spot in the ss/sc.

Most of my racing is good ol' 1320. I do the occasional roll, traffic permitting. Last time I tried street racing it was against a rex. Well when he saw I wanted to catch up so we could line up he takes off and starts doing the slalom with traffic. Needless to say I didn't follow.
