the evo was stock, and the ss owner claimed 225hp, with stage 2.

I just bought my second evo, I traded in my white one for a silver one with less miles

St. 2 SS/SC's are putting down 240+hp all over the place. This guy's car obviously has problems (pcm not properly flashed after Stage kit installed?), or he's lying to you about his mods.

But if you ever do eventually race a properly running St. 2 SS/SC, you'll be unpleasantly surprised.

Can't say I didn't warn you!

I've raced an Evo from a roll.. about 15 MPH.. we were neck and neck until I hit the brakes around 80MPH. I have stage 2/GMPP exhaust, not sure what mods he had.

I know all dynos read differant but never seen 225whp for stge 2. as for me goin into the ricer handbook for better excuses why dont you just give me one since youve obviously got a copy. all I said was i didnt think it was likely the SS had the mods mentioned. Not that it was impossible.

I think there is something wrong with the Cobalt. I've seen a stock Cobalt with a K&N drop in edge out a stock Evo from a 5 roll. That's just my experience though. Everybody's experiences differ. They then raced again from a dig and the Evo edged out the balt. Besides, there are different trim lovels of Evo's. Was this an MR, or of a lesser trim level. I think that is the important question one should be asking here. Some of the trim levels have different hp ratings.

Since when?

They all run similar times.

All EVOs should be able to smash on a Cobalt with just a drop-in, in any race.

THE LIST too hot to handle on Cobaltss.com

My bad, the difference was torque, gearing, and weight. Here's the reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubi...n#Evolution_IX
