Wicked's 2005 SS/SC intro....finally

I've been on the boards for a little bit but haven't had any current pics til the last weekend. Some of you might have seen me/my car at the Huber BW3's on occasion this year. Here's updated pics of my 2005 SS/SC. It's come a long way from stock last year. All the work is done by myself and friends, all black on my exterior is Midnight Black Metallic. I'll let the pics do the talking, although not the most poetic photos.....

Man that looks great. I would figure your 1/4 time to be quicker what was your light and 0-60'

what does the light have to do with his ET? The time doesn't start until he trips the sensor.

A good reaction time can help you in the long run. that also contributed to a better 0-60'. So why wouldnt it be a concern?

i am not sure how a better reaction time is going to help your E/T or your 60 foot time but you might know more about it than me. And I am not trying to be a smart a$$. If you would, please expain.

Well its common sense actually. unless you have a wonderful top end your time can really hurt down below. So the faster you can get going there for the faster you can make your 0-60' time. Make sense... But that doesnt rely on all of it.For example you could have a .181 reaction time and a 2.200 0-60 and still be faster then the person you are racing against.

Well about the drag pass. That was my first trip ever down a track behind the wheel. I myself am pretty happy with it. My R/T was .6 and my 60' was 2.30. Better times are definately possible, but also keep in mind that was made on winter tires. Not quite the best for the strip. Most ss/sc's that night were stock (3 more) one of them was tuned but still stock motor and such. The best any of them had was a 14.8. A full second faster than any ss/sc is engh to make me happy. I've got my rims done so new times coming on 5-17-07.

Thanks for the compliments Video!!!

Just to clarify, a reaction time will help you win a race, but will not help you improve your ET. Your 60' is the best indicator of what a car is capable of in the quarter mile, and yes it does make a huge difference in your ET!! So what i am saying is that the clock doesn't start timing until after you leave the staging beams regardless of your reaction time....although sitting there for a few tenths of a second watching the other car walk away is that much fun!

BTW, i love the RK spoiler, was it hard to install or did it go in the same holes as the stock wing? Thanks

There are 8 holes of various shapes and sizes under the stock wing. The RKsport attatches via bolts and 3m adhesive and covers all but the front-most two holes. So either cover it with vinyl until a later date, or have them welded shut and repaint the trunk. I did the later of the two. The RK spoiler gives the ss/sc a smooth, attractive look w/o being attention seeking, IMO
