the kit has everything. all the mechanic is going to do is call in your vin number and they will get the code to reflash your car and thats it.

Well if you install them yourself the dealership probebly wont let you keep your warrenty just cause they dont trust your work. But unless you know someone at the dealership that wouldnt care if you did then its all good.

and it doesnt come on a cd rom there is just a code for the 05, 06, and 07 and then they call it in to GM performance to get the reflash for your car with your vin number.

you can install your own stage kit and keep the warrenty...most dealers wont care and they also wont do the searching to look to see if you did it or not.

the ECM reflash normaly costs any wear from $60-$80(normaly $80).

when you take the car in and tell them what you want done you will hand them the paper work that comes with the stage kit...on the frount page it will have a sticker with a code on it...the tech with call the GM tech line and give them that code and your VIN they will then give the tech a VIC number he can then pull the program off GM's private website and reflash your car.

once he gets the VIC number make sure you or him rites it down becase if you ever have an issue and the car needs to be reflashed you will need that VIC number to get the stage tune.

HTH

BUt if they see that you installed it and they know that it voids your warrenty then what happens? I mean do they put it in the computer as no warrenty work on your car and that goes throughout all GM dealers?

first off by looking at the car they CANT tell if you or they did the install. they would have to look up your cars entire history via your VIN number....most wont waste there time doing so...

i have in the past seen dealers bitch about warrenty even if they do the instal becase they at first will clame its that even tho its GM shit that it voids warrenty....

i've seen some do that untill you print of the GM paperwork about the kit that says otherwise.

is this for the labor or are you paying twice for the reprograming
you buy the pcm recal w/ the kit, shouldnt it be a free install considering there is only one way to do this " through gm dealers only"

it seems like they are charging twice for the same thing
