I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this problem but I couldn't find a thread on this. I drive a 09 SS and recently I bent the b***om right corner of my stock IC. I took it to the Chevy dealer to get it looked at and they're telling me I need to have it replaced. The dent in my IC is not HUGE but the water collector underneath my IC is hanging by the bolt on the left. I did a little quick fix and used metal wires to tie it up so its not hanging and scraping on the ground. Its been about 2 weeks since I've dented my IC, and I haven't had any kind of problems with it at all. My engine temp is still under 190 and I'm still putting out around 15 pounds. My question is should I get an after market IC or stick with the stock IC. I still have my 5 year/50,000 mile warranty. But most IC incidents aren't factory defects. So back to the question, After market or OEM?

Yes, I do plan to keep modding the car. As for tunning thats something I need to look further into, Like what tune give the most HP with out messing up the comp. what I'll need to have for the tune. you know specs of the tune I guess.

it is best to have all your bolt on that you want to buy before you get tuned. this will save you time and money becasue with the way our cars are we need to tune for pretty much everything. And also i see your from Bragg. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE AROUND HERE TO GET TUNED. They WILL mess up your car!!!!

I probably wont get tuned anytime soon considering I still have a lot of mods to put on (and pay for in that case) so I still have a while before I tune but I do want to start looking into tunes to see which ones the best.

Well supposedly there is a Trifecta tuner around Fayetteville if I remember correctly.
