Question Intercooler?

This is more me being just curious.

Are their benefits of installing an intercooler to say my 2.2L without having a turbo?

Just wondering, thanks in advance.

Well, more intercoolers are built for turbos so you'd have to make custom piping to fit it to what ever you are hooking it up to. To be honest I don't think I've ever heard of someone. running an IC with no turbo.

It would be pointless. All you would be doing is running a super long intake.

Ask them. Tell them. Make them.

I more or less posted this before doing any googling. But I've since looked into it and realized it is pointless was just curious.
