Google can be your best friend.

There are a couple BOV for the Cobalt. And that will pretty much give you sound. You can also listen to a couple videos on Youtube that will have different brands. Its all on the sound that you want. They aren't that expensive. And a tune will be VERY beneficial to give it a good amount of power over stock.

Right in the description of the part it says:

Quote:
This is the hot side upper intercooler pipe, and it is the same one that we run on our '08 LNF Cobalt that ran 11s on the stock turbo!

It is manufactured out of aluminum, one piece, and mandrel bent. It reuses the factory couplers for an easy install. Also this pipe comes with a bracket and premium T bolt clamps so there is no chance of it coming off and denting your hood like one of the other brand intercooler pipes that is available. No modification of your factory pipe required!!

Includes:
2 1/2" Aluminum IC pipe
2 T bolt clamps
m6 bolt & washer for mounting tab
Option 1: This drop down gives you the option to add an aftermarket BOV to your car. To do this properly you would want to remove your factory BOV spring and replace it with a shim so it relies on the aftermarket BOV instead. You can contact us about the BOV shim if you would like one. You will have to purchase a BOV separately with the BOV flange option selected. It uses a standard TiAl flange so either the ZZP 50mm BOV or a TiAl would work perfectly. Otherwise select "without BOV flange" and your factory BOV will still work just fine.

Add On: You can either reuse your factory couplers or we can send you new replacement couplers and clamps.

This part is compatable with our turbo upgrade kit, so later if you keep modding, your investment is protected.

Fits HHR!
So yes you need both.

intake
charge piping with flange for whatever BOV you would like. cold side piping
intercooler
downpipe
3 inch exhaust

those are your basic bolt ons for the cobalt.

Just make sure you get the right flange that you want to run for your BOV. everyone is different.
