Dyno numbers from New Era 2.8 pulley package +

Dyno numbers from New Era 2.8 pulley package +

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spent the day on the dyno yesterday tuning in the #60 injectors and some final fine tuning , I am running the New Era Performance 2.8 pulley package with the addition of a CTI header and additional heat exchanger (not included in the package but can be added). After all was said and done , I ended up at 271 whp and 245 wtq tuned very meticulously and a safe progressive timing map . Coming up next is the n2o , I will let you know the results after we do it . The car trapped 106.6 (13.5 ET and 2.29 60 ft with stock tires and suspension , just an ingalls torque damper) last year making 258 whp and 227 wtq , I really think it will trap all of 109 now after a few runs against someone's STI today ! Just need to establish traction a bit now . You can see the dyno graph at www.neweraperformanceparts.com in the cobalt project page .

Mike

i hate to do this, but you're full of shit, there is no way on god's green earth you pulled a 1.29 60' time with stock tires and suspension

gary gardella runs 1.24-1.25 60' and runs 180+mph on the strip in his cobalt, so unfortunately, you my friend are full of shit. i also really like the part where you say:

yet you are claiming a damn 1.29 60' LOL

this is a video of a cobalt that is actually capable of a 1.2 60'

I edited it , made a typo error , sorry , it was 2.29 60 ft . Funny that you would actually go at that so hard looking at the rest of the post not thinking that I must have made an error typing that , thanks for the criticism !

i didn't look too hard at it, it was just a blistering dumbass number for a car that was turning 13.5's

Well, while you bash this guys numbers you should take your own car to the dyno. Then you would know that true numbers does not mean they are accurate. I dyno'd 241 hp/ 227 tq and I ran a 1.5 60' with a time of 12.92. These were the real numbers than I ran, but I obviously know that I don't run a 12.92 with a stage 2 and typhoon intake. So just try to understand that even though these might be his numbers, he probably knows that he doesn't really run a 13.5. So chill homie.

bwahahahaahahaaa i'd like to see the cobalt you pulled a 1.5 in

oh and btw, i have had both of my cars on the dyno multiple, multiple, multiple times, hell i even blew the engine twice while testing out a blower swap last year. but more recently on the rack my car turned over more than 400whp i gaurantee you with slicks and my car, i won;t even see a 1.5 60'

Wasn't the phase5 balt only pulling 1.6s???

People need to stop drag racing on dynos and computer programs.

Yeah fully built FWD drag cars barely pull 1.5s. I have said this before and will say it again most people on this site and .net need to spend a whole lot more time at the strip.

I will take it to the track this year , just like last year . This year I will be using some drag radials though because last year traction was a joke . especially having a lil more power this year .
