inner tie rod end

Can anybody tell me where I can buy an inner tie rod end for 09? I went to 3 different dealer's and they all said you have to buy the whole Fe5 gear assy and that they don't sell that part separately...

MOOG - Outer Tie Rod End
Not Mfr Data - Derived from OE - Match to Original w/SOFT RIDE SUSPENSION OE: 15220347, 25842032

In Stock

Part Number: ES80479

Fits vehicles: 09 Chevrolet Cobalt - Quantity per vehicle: 2

Hope this helps you slightly. I recommend Moog products because my experience in selling aftermarket parts for suspension gave me good results and less combacks from Moog products.

thks for the heads up on the moog parts RedSStreak, though I'm still trying to find the (inner tie rod end near the boot) the outer tie rod end you can buy almost any where it seems.
I'm just going to try to get a (crows foot tool, rent it out or buy it) and take it off then try to straighten it out myself and see what happens!

P.S. -watch out when rubbing curbs I was only going roughly 20-25mph and bent the lower control arm which is aluminum along with the inner tie rod and scratched the rim badly..

The part was defective how? That would fall to your insurance company usually (road hazard)

the steering rack on these cars are not servicable. if you need an inner tie rod you need to replace the whole rack. outer tie rod ends are seperate.

insurance adjusters will only take account for visually damaged parts. i've noticed on these cars, only experienced heavy body guys will know how to diagnose and fix front end damage, especially from lateral impact. aluminum acts strange and will bend but look visually sound. there's a lot of weak suspension components even including the cradle/subframe that will wrinkle from light impacts. hell you could warp the thing with a small hammer! could have just been a bad body shop, bad adjuster, bad situation!
