3000ways To the author of the thread, you probably raced a 06 GTI with a chip. It's often one of the first mods they do and it can add a substantial amount of whp. On the average w/ chip as the only mod, they put down 215-220whp, but some have claimed around 230whp or more. Anyhow a chip is good for around 30whp or more on those cars. But a couple of more mods on your Cobalt and you should have no problem walking (easily) chipped GTIs.

i dont get?...there rated around the same power as a stock ss/sc so.......
Regardless of altitude we have the same mod. We both posted that we only have Injen CAI. Now, as for mine, I don't know about the guy I raced. I kept getting a different story including a larger turbo. I think after posting my kill several months back we came to the conclusion that it was a stock turbo. However, I do beleive that he may have had some other mods like a chip, exhaust, bov, etc. Just something to give him a little extra power. The only reason I beat him was because he had to shift sooner and more. He was a 6 speed.

06superchargedss 06 Silver SS/SC 06 VW white GTI... Was goin down the street near where i live and came across this gti rollin down thru there.. I decided to get up beside him cuz i had my step brother with him and had to show him a thing or 2.. Started in 2nd from a 35mph roll, got the jump on him by about a car and a half, stayed that way till he let off which was right when i went into 4th gear... of course if u ppl look at ur speedo's, 6300rpms ur runnin about 90 somethin to 100mph.. Dunno if it was just a bad gti driver or if the ss/sc is just faster.. 2.0 SC vs. 2.0 Turbo..
