I've been bugging my wife about selling my car to buy an SS..after a week of hounding her, she gave in and told me: "Fine, I'll tell you what your father's day gift is, since you're driving me nuts about it....I just bought you a new red cobalt SS. You can't pick it up until Sunday cuz they're tinting the window." I felt bad for bugging her now...But hell yea!!

I'll let you guys know of any good races i get into!

Thanks guys. It's red, w/red insets, Onstart, and Moonroof. I just hope the boost gage works on it, cuz one of them I drove, it was bouncing all over the place, and another one I drove, it worked fine. I'll find out Sunday!

I hounded soo much I got mine 1 and a 1/2 months before fathersday!! Congrats, I think you'll like it. Mine is red too, I love it. It is such a smooth ride. The acceleration is stealthy, so don't let it fool you, this car can get up and go. Also remember to take it easy on the clutch or you will lose a lot of races. Even a 1500 rpm dump will smoke the tires to redline!!

I know these cars get a lot of attention right now cuz there's few on the road. So I know I'm gonna get a lot of revv's

Ya, I've raced an SVT Focus and won, a SRT4 and lost, a Honda Prelude 2.2 V-TEC and won huge, and a Buick LaCrosse GSE S/C, same as a GTP, and won by a car length and a half. Some stares and some haters. Mostly GTP guys!!

You probably raped the svt focus, especially from a stop. They bog real bad in 1st. But if it was on the freeway, I know they have good top end. How bad did you lose to the srt by? I wouldn't be mad about losing to an srt right now cuz we don't have any aftermarket support right now..We're stuck stock for now. So not that many revv's huh?

And no, she doesn't have any sisters, but she has two brother's if you're interested lol J/K

The SVT guy and I raced from about 25 mph to 70 mph. He stuck at my side for a split second, but when the blower really started working, I started to pull on him hard. I probably got 2-3 car lengths before we let off. The Srt 4 was more or less bad driving on my part. I lit the tires up, he did not. It was over that quick. I hope that won't happen again. Remember the Srt 4 has more power, so I'd have to say that it would start pulling on the SS going into 3rd gear.
