Good news for the Valley and the folks who build the Lordstown Chevy Cobalt. It gets high marks in a new test studying the effects of side-impacts in crashes.
The Cobalt and the Toyota Corolla were the only two small cars earning an acceptable rating when tested with their optional side air bags. Without the optional airbags, both cars rated poor.
The Dodge Neon was the worst performer, with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety calling it "a disaster."
