Got another one to keep an eye out for. Sometimes ( 2 confirmed incidents that I have noticed) the CHMSL ( Center High Mounted Stop Lamp for those not involved in the wiring of vehicles ) stays on after turning the car off. No other lights stay on, only the one in the middle of the trunk. I don't think the pedal is getting stuck, because one would think that all of the brake lights would stay lit, but the current fix ( other than warranty ) is to tap the brake pedal. Just a heads up so someone doesn't end up with a dead battery.

Thought I would give you guys an update on this one. It has gotten worse, now I am worried about getting rear-ended everytime I drive. All of my brake lights stay on while the car is running, and that center one stays on after shutting the car off. I must be having some crazy electrical problem goin on now. Taking it to the dealer first thing tomorrow, I'll let you know what they tell me.

Problem identified!!! Hopefully Solved

Took my car into the dealer this morning. It seems that my problem is not electrical after all, whew. It seems that my brake pedal does not come all the way back up, it hangs down just far enough to cause the lights to come on. Hopefully not far enough down to engage the brakes. This in turn should also be causing my cruise control problems. Should have my car back in a few hours. Kinda interesting how the service guys were checking out the car. Hopefully they do good work since they are "America's Corvette King". (Les Stanford on Michigan Ave. for those in the Dearborn area (of course you would know that already if you lived in the area)) :D Gives a new meaning to those comercials with the cobalt giving the vette a hard time. ;)
