What have you guys found works the best for clean, streak-free windows? I have tried everything from windex on a newspaper, windex on paper towels, damp rag and wipe clean with a dry rag, chamois cloth...

Also, for those of you with tint, what product works and also won't harm the tint?

The only thing that will ever touch my tinted windows is cool water and a soft cloth. I wipe it as quickly as possible followed immediately by a dry soft towel. As long as your windows are in the shade and are cool to the touch you shouldn't have any problems with streaking.

As for cleaning the front window, I "borrowed" something from my dad the last time I went home but I can't remember the name of it right now. Next time I go/call home I'll try to remember to ask for the name of it. It definitely contains ammonia but even after washing my car outside in 30C weather it totally removed all the streaks and my windows looked good as new. Of course I wouldn't use this on my tint unless I feel like it turning a nice shade of purple but the front window is still fair game :).

Have you tried steam cleaning? They say that this is a very effective method, as the steam cleaner purifies the water well and there are no minerals left in it that lead to white stains. I recently read an article Best car cleaning steamer | How to choose auto detailing steamer about car detailing steam cleaner and I really liked the instructions that are in this material is offered by detailing professionals. Now I wash my windows and interior with the help of steam. I recommend.
