you know i didn't want it to go this way till some1 had to say o the srt is just a 4dr neon well it isn't and what about the ss all it is is a cavalier with a new body and a super charger i mean it has the freakin saturn motor that gotta suck any way super chargers suck on a 4cyl they were orginally designed for v8's and bigger something that can produce power with it!!
Well an SRT-4 IS a Neon, I wouldn't say that it is JUST a Neon because it has an entirely different drivetrain, and an amazing one at that, the SRT-4 gets a LOT of respect from me, and always will, even though it IS a Neon, no disgrace at all in saying that. However, the Cobalt SS IS NOT a dressed up Cavalier. It has NOTHING to do with the Cavalier. It has a completely different frame, body, engine, tranny, etc. Granted the base model shares the 2.2L Ecotech w/ the Cavy yet it is said to have been redesigned with more power (which Im not sure it has, probably just "boosted" the rating and not the output) BUT so does a lot of other new GM vehicles nowdays, the Ecotech is becoming an engine design for many of their vehicles, they are even releasing V6 Ecotechs now. A Z28 is still a Camaro, as is a Cobra is a Mustang, Z06 is a Vette, ACR Viper still a Viper, etc
Bottom line is the SRT-4 is a Neon, just a really fast/bat out of hell Neon. And the SS is not a Cavalier, it is however a Cobalt just like the SRT-4 is to the Neon. It doesnt matter what people call your car Neon/SRT-4 Cobalt/SS. You drive what you drive and bein that you have a SRT-4 you should be proud.
