Ight my boy spotted a cobalt ss on highway 60 and faulkenbug. I thought the car wasnt in FL yet???
Was it a red one with the driver-side rear tire flat? That was me :( Only 350 miles on it and got a nail in the tire going down 60 east not too far from there. The tire is too far damaged, can't patch it and looking at $300 and 2 to 4 weeks for a new one.

Got it at Bill Heard Plant City, I live in Lakeland. Coggin's has a yellow one (I know alot of people are looking for these), the other two dealers have red ones.

Wish I had waited another week for Michael Holley to get one (and for the $1000 cash back to come out). I got my work van from there, they care about repeat business unlike Bill Heard, and gave me a great deal on the van, too. Of course, Michael Holley was supposed to call me when they got one and never did...

It will take that long to get a tire or did you damage you rim? But anyway that really sucks you only got to drive it for a short time.

Just damaged the tire. Don't know exactly what it was I ran over, kinda looks like one of those valves used to inflate basketballs. It's hollow, was most likely completely flat in seconds. I probably didn't realize it for minutes (was really windy that day). But at least the rim was fine (God knows how much that would of cost  )

Btw, which Middletown do you live in? There's a bunch, but I used to live near Murrysville, Pa (east of Pittsburg) and I know there's a Middletown near there.

Odd size, no one has any in stock. Bill Heard won't do a thing to help me out. And what really pissed me off is that the GM Major Guard warranty I got has an optional road hazard warranty. They failed to mention that to me, otherwise I would have gotten it. They said they could still give me the warranty, but won't replace the tire since I was officially not under coverage when it happened.

What did the finance guy say to me when I asked him about the road hazard warranty? "Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot about it, you probably wouldn't have gotten it anyways"

How's that for professionalism?

They had it marked up $5000, alright, no I did not pay it. $25k with warranty, tags and title (still too high, but I was surprised there was even one in FL, myself, and I'm not a very patient person).

I had an extended warranty on my '91 Firebird Formula, and with less than 150 miles left on the warranty, I got about $1200 in warranted work done on the car. I only payed $800 for the warranty, so that worked out. Traded the Firebird in on a '98 Grand Prix GTP with 23k miles on it. Figured I'd save money and get a 3rd party warranty, rather than finance one with the car at the dealer. Turned out that the manufacturer's warranty expired only a week before I bought it, so buying a warranty now was going to be $2000 to $3000 vs the $1100 the dealer offered me. Never got one, and I regretted ever since because of problems with the throttle sticking, 2 brake overhauls, and having to replace 5 power window motors (rear passenger replaced twice).

After my past experiences, I won't buy another car without one. The GM extended warranty is excellent and cost me $1800 for 6 year/72000 miles. I can guarentee that I'll use it more than once by the time it runs out, especially with this being a first year model.

To clarify, I meant that including the warranty, tax, tags and title I payed $25k (and change, don't remember exact amount). So it was actually about msrp for the car. Most people are getting it for less than msrp, though.

Had to call Michael Holley for something else, asked them if they already sold their SS. They said they still didn't have it yet, and wouldn't for at least another week. So that just leaves Coggins (who might not have their's yet, either)
