Nice car!! Did you race the SS yet. I am very interested of the outcome. I never had the privelage to race one yet. Hoping to soon. I almost bought the Type-S but opted for the SS because it was s/c.
hey what's up. no, i haven't raced an SS yet. my co-worker has a cobalt but it's just the LS.SS4ME said:Nice car!! Did you race the SS yet. I am very interested of the outcome. thanks for the compliments.CoBIZZLE said:NICE car man!! I like it a lot! You take those photos yourself, if so you're an artist with your camera! And as far as the racin goes, the Type-S isnt too far behind the SS stock for stock and from what I hear those Hondatas do WONDERS for the Honda engines with basic boltons, which you have an intake so I say it would be an extremely good race! Definitely say it would come down to the better driver, I would say that actually (to an extent) if they were both stock. Welcome aboard!!
Chris
my clutch grabs nicely for being stock. nice kill on the S2000 but i think that guy can't drive it right if you beat him as bad as you say. not hating though. i usually launch at 2,500-3,000rpms. if you're not getting traction on first i think you need to upgrade your tires. what kind of tires come stock w/ the SS?SS4ME said:Do you have to murder the clutch on the Type-S to get it to go fast? I raced a Honda S2000 and beat him pretty good. I did not think it would turn out that way, but I could tell he put little clutch into it out of the hole! For the SS that is the way I have to drive if I'm to get any traction in 1st gear. Not hating, just interested in the differance in driving technique between s/c cars and variable valve timing cars. I know the torque bands are quit different.
i have toyo proxes4 on mine right now. they are a major upgrade to the shitty stock michillens i had on there before.SS4ME said:They come with Pirrelli P/Zero's. It chews the tires up too easily!
sorry, but she only has the LS coupe. she wanted the SS but no cali dealers had the blue one so she settled w/ the LS.h8beingbored said:very nice... i am a big fan of acura and their line-up, especially the rsx... get some pics up of your co-workers ss!
haha, she already tried to race me on the hwy. it wasn't a pretty picture. i told her to get the SS but she couldn't wait for it cuz she needed a car right away so she opted for the LS coupe.CoBIZZLE said:Nah he said it was just a base Cobalt. But what the hey, tell him to supercharge it and then yall go race! LOL
thanks for the compliments. your evo is beautiful. i am planning on keeping my car N/A. my goal is to reach 250hp w/ no F/I. i know it will be tough but definently duable since i know 3 people w/ N/A rsx's w/ over 250hp.Novtec1 said:beautiful car man.... i used to be a hardcore honda/acura guy. those DC's sure do look good. any plans for some FI? have a friend here with one that is just sick on just 10 psi. again nice car!!!!!!
