The factory bracket on the sides and top curls inward to hold the plate. It lacks holes for the top two mounting bolts and if they were drilled out it is still very close to the front fascia. These seem to make it hell to put on a frame. I don't want the top of the frame to rattle or sag downward due to the lack of the upper two bolts not there.

Being in VA I have to have a front plate. I want something that looks good and is of adequate width to cover and go over and around the factory bracket.

Has anyone found a good license plate frame that fits over the factory bracket?

I live in NY where you also have to have a front license plate. Dealer did not put on the factory mounts which I was very happy about. Had the car over 2 weeks n have not had one bit of trouble about it yet. Just leave the plate in the car n if they say something tell them you have an appointment to get it put on.
