I hope someone manages to come up with something that doesn't sound too ricey. Something a little deeper. I realize it's never gonna sound like a V8, but I don't want one of those fart-cannon mufflers.

I was checking out the Borla website today....

And they have the Cobalt LS and SS listed! Nothing is there as of yet, but to me that means they are working it!

I'm a huge fan of Borla exhausts :D

That is awsome because i don't want to have to buy some universal muffler or something like that.

Corsa will be doing a 3'' for the SS, they are GM licenced and quality is the best!
Corsa puts out some awesome stuff for LS1 powered cars. It will be interesting to see not only what kind of performance they can pull but also the exhaust note itself. I know I LOVE Corvettes w/ Corsa exhausts on them!!!

And Corsa generally makes very good looking products as well, their exhaust tips on the Corvettes are just bad!!!

I'm wondering if I can get an exhaust (muffler) black instead of polished alum. or stainless steel, it will work much better w/ the color scheme i'm shooting for, I really do not want anything chrome on my entire car.

Then again, I can always have my buddy powder coat it... lol.

Borla and Magnaflow make mufflers that fit already. 1/2 the time the company just cross-references the specific part numer to an already existing part. The mufflers that I got for my '77 Vette were a different part number than the universal ones, but when I got it, it was the exact same muffler, it was even the exact same price. They just took care of the inlet and outlet sizes and the center/offset placement choices. The box even had like 6 part numbers on it with the Corvette application checked off.

I'm going to order a Borla universal and tip, 2.5", before I get the exhaust pipe upgraded. I don't mind using a universal, it's all the same. Now a cat-back exhaust, that's something that I'd make sure was made specific.

When the time comes, I'm definitely going with a Borla exhaust.

We all have our personal preferences. I've noticed that most of it comes from what types of things our fathers used while we were children.

For instance, I've always used Valvoline Oil and Fram oil filters simply because it's what my dad always used in his meticulous routine maitenance work.

This could be an interesting thread topic, I'm going to start it now!
