Hi there! When did you order yours? My ETA was supposed to be 4-17-05. Its still waiting in Llordstown in the lot to be loaded on transport. Its Arrival Blue SS/SC. I'm to be the first on in Nevada too. PATIENTLY WAITING! I'm going nuts!

Yeah I think most people are getting the runaround. I would honestly say that over half of the people I've heard of gettin em didnt even order them. Just went to a dealer and bought it, some way over sticker, some a lil under. Good luck w/ yours, I gotta wait til the 06's come out due to money, but mainly a wreckless driving ticket that comes off my record this august that I got in highschool, that would probably make my ins. higher than my car payment!

I ordered mine back in September-October timeframe to take advantage of the free sunroof and XM radio. It took 3 projected delivery dates to finally get it. the first was MArch 2, then March 25, then April 9--------it got here on April 12. I seen the truck with the car on it going down the road and followed back to the dealership and actually got to watch it come off the trailer. It had 3 miles on it. NO ONE at the dealership drove it, the only thing that was done was the mechanical PDI. After watching the detail guy clean cars, i decided toclean my own and remove all the stickers myself. Well...... thats my story.

P.S. Just for the record I got mine at the sticker price of $21,9??

Yeah thats pretty good. Especially w/ the free xm and the sunroof would be a biggy for me too! Thats awesome how you saw the truck and followed it! I woulda done the same thing! LOL Well heck if you didnt you know the guys at the dealership would put a few miles on it raggin on it! Trust me I know, I've worked at two different companies now where I get to drive other peoples cars (CCity and Best Buy) and I've seen the way workers treat other peoples cars and/or stuff! Lets just say you dont wanna drop your car off!!! Better stay and wait on it!

Thanks everyone for the boost of confidence making me feel like i got an OK deal. It was neat watching it come off the truck and like you said i sat there and waited about 2 hours nad didnt leave the cars side to make sure no one else drove it. The salesmen their dont care about it, it isnt theirs. After the PDI i was only there for about 30 min signing papers b/c we already had done most of the paperwork before the car got here. I had Insurance on the car almost a month before it got here. Go ahead call me crazy..... i got it a few days they told me the car was going to first be here and it didnt show for almost 3 more weeks....ohhh well!!!!!! Good luck to everyone else on getting your dealers to give you a good deal and not try to STICK you!!

You guys are definitely lucky to even have these cars. I live in Ohio and my dad works at the mansfield plant and I dont get mine until july. They quoted me a price with gms discount of $19,8 so consider yourself lucky to get it for 19,9! And I didnt get anything free. My dealer wouldnt even let me order until February.

Just curious how was you able to get the car for 19,??? when the website the base price is 21,9?? ? I see that you mentioned a $1000 discount <----what was this for? the only $1000 discounts I have seen was from doing the "GM HOT BUTTON" and the dealer told me that it wasnt available to use on the SS. I am not doubting your pricing at all.....just wondering where I possibly got screwed.

Did you preorder your car a long time ago (possibly within the timeframe they were offering the XM and Sunroof, (September, October) If so then that $1000 was probably the value of the Sunroof and XM ($1050<----i beleive is exact) Like I said I am not doubting you price, nor trying ot start and argument (like I have seen a few of on here) I am just a curious consumer and want to know where and if the dealership got me! thanks in advance!

The $1000 hot button deal is available for the SS, your dealer is misleading you. My problem is it came out 1 day after I signed the papers for mine. I raised hell over at Bill Heard hoping they'd work it in for me but they wouldn't budge. Once the papers are signed, they don't care about the customer anymore, at least not this dealership.

The price I paid was exactly $19,947.65 after the $1,000 GM Hot Button Rebate (Rebate Code # 05-31AAS program date 4/5/05 thru 5/31/05 valid on all Cobalt models including SS); the car I purchased had a sticker price of $23,045

The vehicle was a stock order that I was able to talk my local dealership into letting me purchase for GMS (I am employed by GM) roughly 2 weeks ago.
