Hi to all of the SS owners out there, and any prosepective owners.

I got my Black SS last night in OKC...1st in the metro. It is all Black with dealer installed tint, all black leather seats, XM, OnStar, Airbags, Sunroof, and more. I will be posting pics of my baby this weekend....can't wait to mod this thing out, and see what it is capable of.

What is your recommendation for 1st oil change (1,000 miles, non-synthetic) or (500 miles, synthetic.)

Thanks

Sweet Ride!

As a 46 year old (kids have left the nest, time to DRIVE again) former Red '03 Tiburon GT owner looking for a car with guts, nice stereo, non-Neon platform, non-riced out appearance, your pictures have sold me on the SS!

Still on the fence with a dark blue '05 V-6 Premium Stang, but the gap has closed.

Seems like all the dealers here in Southeast Pa have the market cornered on Red SS's (couple yellow's) , but I'll wait them out for some black arrivals.

Great luck with your new purchase and slap a CAI on that baby :)

For what it's worth, I LOVE the new Mustang. I think it's an absolutely gorgeous car. BUT, to me, it looses substantial appeal in V6 form. A bunch of subtle differences (no fogs, single exhaust,, smaller wheels, etc) all add up to make it a fair bit less attractive than the GT, not to mention the fact that an SS will eat it for breakfast.

Congrats on that car. My opinion, is change the oil between 500-1000. Now, i dont think any SS owners have tried it, but put Royal Purple, 5W 30 in your car. I think its $6 a quart, but from the tests, actual drivers opinions, this oil can increase your HP a little bit. My dad ran a 14.198 in his 91 Firebird Forumla. He put the Royal Purple in, ran a 14.012. Thats a pretty big difference, all for spending $30 on oil. Try it out, it cant hurt

I bought some ramps...oil pan, and 12 quarts of Royal Purple a couple of days ago. I just hit 800 Miles...should be at 1100 by end of week. I will change it then and see how it feels on the way to work next Monday.
